Right to Know: Freedom of Information

Secrecy and Freedom of Information. International Conference 2004

The Globe International had successfully completed the project to organize the round table Secrecy and Freedom of Information in a period from March 15 till April 1, 2004. The project was financed by The Asia Foundation and Mongolian Foundation for Open Society – Open Forum grants.

The present report includes narrative report, financial report and attachment produced during the period.

Project contributed to its goal to promote transparency and accountability of the government and public sector and empower the public with open information through exercising their right to know and increase media power.

Round table was held on 18 March 2004 at the conference hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it involved 68 participants: 21 information officers; 8 foreign experts and representatives; 27 NGO representatives and 10 media professionals
