INTRODUCTION

Freedom to Journalists! This is the final message to the public and authorities after completion of the project UNESCO funded Media for Transparent Governance project.

Globe International, a Mongolian NGO in partnership with Press Institute and ZORIG Foundation implemented the project between October 2004 and October 2005. The project is a part of the International Programme for Development of Communication (IPDC) of UNESCO.

This 12-month project involved activities on development and research of content analysis, investigative reporting workshops and 8-month media campaign and approval of Action Plan for future.

The final report includes narrative and financial reports on the results and activities carried out during the project period. The project faced several problems in running media campaign and development of investigative materials by the journalists. The readers of this report can find it in the chapter Project Evaluation.

The project budget was 39,000 USD and its expenditure 39,216 USD
