Editors'
task force meeting was organized on 2 December 2004
and attended by 12 participants. Mrs., Violeda Umali,
and associate professor of School of communication from
Philippine was invited to the meeting.
She worked in Ulaanbaatar
between 29 November – 03 December 2004 and gola of her
visit was to introduce Mongolian teachers and journalists
with media content analysis and development of methodology
of content analysis in cooperation with 2 Mongolian
researchers: Choisamba, Ph.D and Bazar, MA. She conducted
one-day training for journalism teachers and attended
editors task force meeting taking presentation: Towards
a more socially responsible journalism: Content analysis
in the serve of the mass media.
The trainer
showed how media practitioners could use content analysis
to identify their strengths and weaknesses, understand
the personal and social actors that influence the way
they practice their profession, and assess the possible
impact of the way they cover issues and personalities
on individuals and the society.
